Apologies it has taken me a while to post again. Yumbox (www.yumbox-uk.co.uk)www.yumbox-uk.co.uk has been crazy with the back to school period (a fantastic thing for business but not so great for keeping on top of my blog!)
My latest post is about ‘Jurassic Golf’ at the World of Golf just off the A3.
If you have a couple of hours to spare on a Saturday morning then there are few more fun ways to spend them than this. The Bear has declared it his favourite thing and has been asking to go back ever since!
It took us just under 20 minutes to drive there (check their website for directions as the entrance is literally on the slip road to the A3 so it can be a bit tricky to find). You pay per adult and per child so we just paid for LSH and The Bear and Bollie and I just enjoyed a wander round checking out dinosaurs!
The course is 18 holes and is mostly open to the elements so pick a dry day. You could take a buggy round but it does get busy (we arrived at 9.45 and by the time we left at 11.15 it was very busy and I think then you would have struggled with a buggy) Every hole is surrounding by moving, roaring dinosaurs and The Terrorists loved discovering each one. The golf itself is simple crazy golf so for a 3 year old it was perfect and he even managed a (flukey!) hole in one!
It is quite expensive for such a short round (you lose your ball on the last hole so you can’t go round again without paying) but for the level of enjoyment we all got it was worth every penny! It has the added bonus of a costa coffee on site so we all got a coffee / babycino treat post play!
Time to visit – 1-2 hours to play (with no other people around to wait for)
Highlights – pretty much every dinosaur we saw!
Getting there – it is a short drive down the A3 from South West London (opposite the big Tescos). There is free parking on-site
Pushchair access – you can negotiate a pushchair around but it isn’t advised if you can get away with not taking one (there isn’t much walking)
Price – £9 for adults and £7 for children (I think they run deals off peak so check out the website)
Food and Drink – there is a nice Costa coffee there for a babychino after!
Other attractions nearby – You are quite close to Chessington and Hobbledown or the big Tescos!
Baby facilities – there are lovely clean toilets with baby change
